General guidance, not a diagnosis
Everything on this site, including the readiness gauge, the guides and the area boards, is general information about garage doors and this district. It is written carefully and honestly, but it cannot see your door. It is not a diagnosis, a quote, a safety certification or advice about your specific property. The real decisions get made the only place they can be: at your door, from findings, with your approval before work starts.
The readiness gauge
The readiness gauge flags which observations are usually worth an inspection. It does not identify faults with certainty, promise a fix, promise a timeframe or estimate a cost. If your door is doing something the gauge doesn't describe, trust the door, not the gauge, and tell us what you see.
Prices
No prices are quoted anywhere on this site, and nothing here should be read as one. How pricing works is described in words only: for faults, findings are stated at your door and you approve a price before any work starts; for new doors, a written quote follows a free measure. A figure only exists once it is written against your actual door.
Safety
Torsion springs, cables and door panels are under load and are not home-repair items. Guidance on this site never asks you to adjust, unbolt or force any part of a garage door, and nothing here should be read as encouragement to. If a door is stuck, straining or off its tracks, stop using it.
Imagery and examples
Some images on this site are illustrative: stock or generated imagery, made to show the kind of work and the kind of place, not photographs of specific completed jobs. Worked examples in the owner's guides are typical trade scenarios, not case studies of named customers.
